Types of Stripe Fabric

Woven stripes are the most durable and most formally considered — the colour is inherent in the weave structure rather than printed on the surface, making woven stripes colourfast, reversible, and visually richer than printed equivalents. Regency, mattress, and ticking stripes are all typically woven. Printed stripes offer the broadest colour variety and the most contemporary graphic possibilities. Velvet stripes alternate pile and cut-pile in the same fabric to create the most luxurious and tactile stripe expression. Performance stripes extend the most popular residential stripe aesthetics into durable, easy-clean constructions for active households.
