One of the most appealing services provided by Stark is its Custom Design Studio. Customers can browse the archive of designs, fabrications, and colors, or aided by the in-house designers, create a new product that is relevant to their decorative projects. The Design Studio can help during all the stages of the production process, from start to finish. The team can help determine the best color, type, and quality for the carpet and even render the proposed patterns as they would look when they get worked by Stark’s master artisans.

Stark rugs works also for the hospitality industry. Its collections feature the highest quality broadloom and area rugs, with designs that range from contemporary and modern, to timeless and traditional. The team of designers can work with customers to bring a new design to life, or to customize one of the existing products in the catalog to meet the needs of any project.

The Stark Studio catalog includes hand-knotted or hand-woven rugs that represent the remarkable achievement of many highly skilled artisans. Each stage of this ancient craft, from spinning the wool to trimming the pile of the finished rug, is carried out by hand by master weavers to create the best rug possible. The weaving process is carried out by skilled craftsmen working in synchronization on the loom. The majority of Stark’s rugs are made using the Tibetan technique. With this technique, the yarn is knotted around the vertical warp threads and a metal rod. The higher the knot count, the finer the rug.
