Liz Galbraith & Ephraim Paul founded the design studio Galbraith & Paul in 1986 in Philadelphia. From their workshop, they started designing and producing high-quality hand block printed textiles and wallpapers. Over time, as the brand gained reputation, Galbraith & Paul started offering rugs, designed exclusively for Holland & Sherry, and pillows and table runners for Room & Board. The brand’s catalog is available to the design trade community and sold through their showrooms located in Australia, Canada, and the USA.

Galbraith & Paul’s design studio is where artisans work together to create pieces that are elegant and of the highest standards in design and craftsmanship. Besides the wide options offered in colors and patterns, the company can also customize any fabric or wallpaper. All products in the catalog are printed on demand with a 10 to 12 week tournaround schedule. Textile collections are available in 38 patterns, more than 150 colors, and in six ground cloths: Bartram Natural Linen, Bartram White Linen, Logan Cream Linen, Logan Natural Linen, Logan White Linen, and Pewter Velvet. Wallpapers mirror the subtle surfaces and textures of the fabrics translating the artisanal idea of the block print to the wall. In order to ensure greater strenght, wallpapers are printed on nylon-reinforced material that is Class A fire-rated, available in 5-yard single rolls or 10-yard double rolls. The brand’s rugs collection feature 16 designs available in 5 constructions and a colorful palette of yarns. All designs created originally at the studio for block-printing processes are later transformed overseas in small workshops using centuries-old traditions of hand knotting and weaving.
