Minimum Order Requirements

Many designer fabrics, wallpapers, wallcoverings, and trims are produced or packaged according to manufacturer minimums. Requirements vary by brand, product, price, and unit of sale. The applicable quantity requirements are reflected in the quantity options available on our website.

Fabrics

Many designer fabrics have a 2-yard minimum order and may need to be ordered in 2-yard increments.

Pindler, Stout & RM Coco Fabrics

For Pindler, Stout, and RM Coco fabrics:

Fabrics priced at $45.00 per yard or more may be ordered beginning with 1 yard, in 1-yard increments.
Fabrics priced under $45.00 per yard require a 2-yard minimum and are ordered in 2-yard increments.

These price-based rules apply to fabrics only.

One-Yard Cut-Fee Orders

Some manufacturers may permit a 1-yard fabric order with an additional cut fee. These special orders must be arranged directly with The WorkRoom and cannot be completed through standard online checkout.

Schumacher Fabrics
A 1-yard order may be available with a $45 cut fee.

Kravet & Lee Jofa Fabrics
A 1-yard order may be available with a $25 cut fee.

For standard online orders, the minimum quantity shown on the product page applies.

Trims

Trim minimums are based on how the item is sold.

Trim sold by the yard: 2-yard minimum, ordered in 2-yard increments.
Trim sold by the unit or each: 1-unit minimum, ordered individually.

This rule applies regardless of brand.

Wallpaper & Wallcovering Sold by the Roll

Wallpaper minimums depend on the manufacturer and how the product is packaged.

2-Roll Minimum Wallpaper Brands

The following wallpaper brands require a 2-roll minimum and are ordered in 2-roll increments:

Scalamandré / Scalamandre wallpaper also requires a 2-roll minimum when the product is sold by the roll.

1-Roll Wallpaper

Wallpaper sold by the roll from brands not listed above may generally be purchased beginning with 1 roll.

This includes qualifying roll wallpaper from brands such as:

Baker Lifestyle
Brunschwig & Fils
Clarke & Clarke
Cole & Son
GP & J Baker
Kravet
Lee Jofa / Lee Jofa Modern
Mulberry Home
Schumacher
Stout
York Wallcoverings

Schumacher wallpaper sold by the roll has a 1-roll minimum.

Wallcoverings Sold by the Yard

Some specialty wallcoverings are priced and sold by the yard rather than by the roll.

Yardage wallcoverings are not subject to the wallpaper roll minimums above. Manufacturer minimums and required increments may vary by pattern and product.

This may include select wallcoverings from manufacturers such as Schumacher, Phillip Jeffries, Innovations, and others.

The applicable minimum or increment will be shown with the product information when available or confirmed before the order is processed.

Samples, Swatches, Memos & CFA

Samples, swatches, memos, and CFA selections are not subject to the full-size merchandise minimum-order rules above and may be ordered according to the options shown on the product page.

Ordering in Required Increments

When a manufacturer requires a specific minimum or ordering increment, the product page will guide you to an acceptable quantity before the item can be added to your cart.

For example, an item with a 2-yard or 2-roll requirement may be ordered in quantities of 2, 4, 6, 8, and so on.
