Shirley Robinson Textiles

Luxury Handwoven Cashmere and Camel Hair Fabrics
Shirley Robinson Textiles is an exceptional collection of handwoven cashmere and camel hair fabrics created for sophisticated residential and hospitality interiors.
Developed by San Francisco and Napa Valley interior designer Shirley Robinson, the collection reflects more than three decades of experience in interior design and the decorative arts. Each textile combines luxurious natural fibers, carefully considered weave structures and traditional handcraft to create fabrics with extraordinary softness, texture and depth.
At The WorkRoom, Shirley Robinson Textiles are available to order by request. Contact us for current pricing, samples, specifications and availability.
Cashmere and Camel Hair Textiles
The Shirley Robinson Textiles collection centers on some of the most luxurious natural fibers used in interior design.
The range includes fabrics woven from 100% cashmere, 100% camel hair and select cashmere and camel hair blends.
Rather than relying on bold printed pattern, these textiles achieve their visual character through texture and construction. The collection includes herringbone, honeycomb, basket, diamond, twill and other dimensional weaves that bring subtle pattern and richness to an interior.
Current designs include constructions such as 4 Ply Herringbone Weave, 4 Ply Honeycomb Weave, Basket Weave, Diamond Weave, Twill Melange and Blanket Weave, along with additional cashmere and camel hair textures.

Handwoven in Nepal
Every Shirley Robinson textile is produced by hand in a family-owned and operated mill in Nepal.
The manufacturing process reflects the brand's commitment to traditional craftsmanship. From hand-spun threads and organic dyes to hand-loomed weaving, the textiles are created through processes that preserve the character and individuality of handmade cloth.
The production of the collection also provides employment opportunities for women in Nepal, connecting luxury textile design with skilled local craftsmanship and responsible production.
The result is a fabric with natural depth and subtle variation that cannot be replicated by large-scale industrial manufacturing.
Designed by Shirley Robinson
Shirley Robinson has worked in interior design and the decorative arts for more than 30 years.
Born in San Francisco and raised in Europe, Robinson developed an appreciation for fine materials, decorative finishes, architecture and luxury textiles that continues to influence her work today.
Her interiors are known for combining color, texture, finish and scale, and those same principles are reflected in the textile collection.
Rather than following short-lived trends, Shirley Robinson Textiles are designed to provide quiet luxury and tactile interest within interiors that feel sophisticated, comfortable and enduring.
Herringbone, Basket Weave and Textured Fabrics
Texture is central to the collection.
Cashmere and camel hair are woven into architectural patterns that create visual movement without overpowering other elements in a room. Herringbone, honeycomb, basket and twill structures allow the natural character of the fibers to become part of the design.
These fabrics work particularly well in interiors that rely on natural materials, neutral palettes, layered textures and understated luxury.
They can complement contemporary furnishings just as easily as antiques and traditional interiors.
Upholstery, Pillows and Decorative Applications
Shirley Robinson Textiles are designed for carefully considered interior applications.
Depending on the individual weave and specification, the fabrics may be suitable for applications including:
Upholstery
Decorative pillows and cushions
Blankets and throws
Accent furniture
Other designer-specified soft furnishings
Because these are specialized luxury textiles, suitability should always be confirmed for the intended application before ordering.
Sustainable Luxury Textiles
Sustainability is an important part of the Shirley Robinson Textiles philosophy.
The collection emphasizes natural fibers, traditional hand production and thoughtfully considered manufacturing rather than mass production. Organic dyes, hand-spun threads and hand-loomed construction are integral to the way the fabrics are produced.
This approach creates textiles intended to be valued for their material quality and craftsmanship rather than treated as disposable decorative products.
