Cancellation Policy

Order Cancellation Policy

Our ordering system is designed to process orders as quickly as possible. Cancellation requests must be received before an order enters production or the shipping process.

Depending on the brand, an order may begin processing or ship within one hour of being placed. We strongly recommend requesting cancellation on the same day you place your order. We will make every effort to accommodate your request; however, cancellations cannot be guaranteed because orders are fulfilled directly by our individual brand partners.

Customers are responsible for confirming all product details, including the pattern, color, quantity, dimensions, and material specifications, before placing an order. The WorkRoom cannot be held responsible for customer ordering errors.

To request a cancellation, email sales@theworkroom.llc, or or call 800-497-8042 during business hours.

Please note:

Under no circumstance can an order be changed, canceled or returned once the stock has been cut, packed or shipped. If a change has to be made and can be accommodated, a restocking fee of 30% will apply.

Once shipped, orders are non-returnable except in cases of verified manufacturer defect or damage in transit. Please refer to our [Return Policy] for further details.

Exceptions to Cancellation

Made-to-order items, custom products, special-production items ordered from the mill on your behalf, and pillows cannot be cancelled or returned once production has begun. All such orders are final.

Approved backorders, special orders, large-quantity orders, and orders for Phillip Jeffries, Innovations, Pindler, and Scalamandré products cannot be cancelled once processing has begun.

If a manufacturer approves a cancellation exception after processing or production has begun, a cancellation fee of up to 50% may apply. Any remaining balance will be issued as store credit only. No refund will be made to the original payment method. Cancellation exceptions are not guaranteed.

When applicable, we will contact you by email before processing to advise you that an item is backordered, specially ordered, made to order, part of a large-quantity order, or otherwise subject to these cancellation restrictions.

Cancellations Initiated by The WorkRoom

On rare occasions, The WorkRoom may need to cancel an order or remove an item from an order for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • The order is flagged as potentially fraudulent.
  • The item is discontinued, out of stock, or otherwise unavailable.
  • A pricing or product-information error is identified.
  • The item is restricted from shipping to the selected destination.
  • The order does not meet the manufacturer’s minimum quantity or required ordering increments.
  • The manufacturer is unable or unwilling to fulfill the order.

If an order does not meet the manufacturer’s requirements, we may send a revised invoice reflecting the required quantity or offer the option to cancel the affected item or order.

Customers are responsible for reviewing all product descriptions and confirming applicable minimums, ordering increments, product details, and shipping eligibility before placing an order.

Payment and Refunds

If your cancellation request is approved before the order enters processing or production, any pending credit card authorization will generally be voided. If payment has already been captured, a refund will generally be issued to the original payment method. In certain cases, depending on the item, manufacturer, or order status, store credit may be issued instead of a refund.

Once processing or production has begun, applicable cancellation restrictions and fees will apply. If a cancellation exception is approved after that time, any eligible balance will be issued as store credit only. No refund will be made to the original payment method.

If you have questions about your order or its cancellation eligibility, please email sales@theworkroom.llc or call 800-497-8042 during business hours, Monday through Friday, 10 AM–6 PM EST.

Special Notice for EU Consumer Orders

Fabrics, wallcoverings, trims, and other materials cut or produced specifically to the customer’s requested quantity are made to the customer’s specifications. These products are final sale and are not eligible for cancellation, return, refund, or the EU statutory right of withdrawal once cutting or production has begun.

Made-to-order products, custom products, pillows, special-production items, and other goods created or ordered specifically for the customer are also final sale once processing or production has begun.

This exclusion does not limit any mandatory rights that may apply when an item is defective, damaged in transit, incorrectly supplied, or materially different from its description. Approved claims involving such items will be handled in accordance with applicable EU consumer law.
